Introduction
Are you someone who wants to work in a socially important and dynamic organization where the pace is sometimes high? Are you a security guard focused on service with experience in administrative work, or perhaps an experienced administrator who wants to train as a security guard? Then a position as a security guard at Östersund District Court might be for you.
The Role
With us, you will have a varied, responsible, and developmental job in an exciting and important operation. Together with your security guard colleagues, your main tasks will be to ensure order and safety in our public areas and to act as a source of security. Since May 2026, the court has had a permanent security check manned by you and your colleagues.
You will also work in the court's reception, providing service both internally to court employees and externally to parties in cases, lawyers, prosecutors, and others visiting the court. Your role also includes administrative tasks such as answering emails, releasing public documents, mail handling, purchasing, as well as scheduling and support for our lay judges, etc. You will also provide some IT and technical support in the courtrooms.
Qualifications
- Upper secondary education or equivalent education/experience assessed by the employer as equivalent.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and the ability to speak English.
- A valid security guard permit and experience in security guard work, including security checks, or
- Documented experience in administrative work and willingness to undergo the Swedish Police Authority's training for security guards.
We are looking for someone with good judgment and a strong sense of service. You have excellent teamwork skills and enjoy working in a team. You are unpretentious and are happy to contribute your skills and enthusiasm to the operation, and you have the ability to build good relationships both internally and externally. We value that you can take initiative and that you can independently organize and prioritize your work. Since the position is a combination of security work and administrative work, we would appreciate it if you also had an interest and aptitude for administrative tasks.
Experience in security checks is meritorious, as is experience in administrative or service work, preferably in a court or other public sector operations. High IT maturity, interest in technology, and knowledge of additional languages can also be considered meritorious.

The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period.
